Rimmel & a little NYC cosmetics

I had the pleasure of playing with some fun eye and lip makeup for NYC and Rimmel over the last few weeks. I'm very excited to share these with you. I found some really fun stuff that I'm super pleased with. Starting with NYC......

Show Time Kohl Kajal Eyeliner
Deep Brown, Deep Grey & Purple Glam
These were very pigmented and held in place for my 10 hour day. Nice and creamy, they didn't smear or run. Super pleased and am on the search for more colors.
These retail for around $2.99 wherever NYC is sold

NYC eyeshadows, some Rimmel and Sally Hansen

Today I have some fun things in store for you today. I have some goodies from NYC in the form of Eyeshadow quads. A cute contour palette from Rimmel, and a good ol' nail treatment from none other that Sally Hansen.
So let's get this thing going......

first off the nail treatment from Sally Hansen
This retails for about $13 wherever Sally Hansen is sold.
Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1

Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1
This treatment did as it claims.... A clear polish treatment that goes on clean nails to help with brittle, dry unhealthy nails. The treatment brightens, moisturizers, strengthen, and helps promotes growth, with visible results in as little as 3 days.

Rimmel London has new contour palettes out. I have one to show you here. This little cutie retails for around $6-$7 wherever Rimmel is sold in your area.

Coral Glow

Blush, Bronze & Highlight

Here I am wearing the Coral Glow palette.
I really really like this palette. The colors wear very beautifully. They are all easily blendable. The blush is a gorgeous matte coral, the bronzer is a matte cool toned brown, and the highlight is a subtle off white shimmer.

NYC came out with some new quads! These are toooo dang cute and the color selections are great. Each Nudes quad comes with a cream primer, a brown gel eyeliner, and a cream highlight.
These cute little quads will retail around $5 wherever you can find NYC cosmetics.

Pink Nudes, Beige Nudes & Bronze Nudes

All in all I was pretty impressed with these quads. They were super blendable, and didn't blend away. For the price point that is amazing, and well worth it. The brown gel liner was ok. It didn't ever really  'dry' but it was smooth and creamy, and went on great. The primer was awesome and I think really helped the shadows stick and stay. The cream highlighter did its job, and is very pretty. I think as an inner corner highlight it works best. I'm not real keen on a super shiny shimmery under brow highlight.
So my only qualm would be I never have liked when packaging mixes powder and cream products because without fail I get a dark powder fallout in a light colored cream product, and it irks the bejesus out of me! Lol!

I can't wait to see what the come up with next!
These are all definitely worth picking up and the prices are just right.

NYC Demi collection

Today I have some fun items from NYC... the Lovatics by Demi collection. These are super cute and I think the palette is very similar to the Urban Decay Naked palette.
The shadow swatched pretty well and preformed good too. They was some fallout with these. They are a bit powdery but overall the end result worked just fine. The shadows blended good and the color payoff wasn't too shabby either.
This palette retails for around $4.99

Here's the look I came up with using this palette, the mascara, brow pencil and cheek tint.

Cheek tint in Cheeky Red
I have always been intrigued by cheek and lip tint. I never got around to trying it on my lips but I thought it was comfortable on my cheeks. The tint stayed for a good amount of time and I think it looked pretty natural.
Tint retails for around $3.99

Brow pencil in Medium Brown
I don't normally stray away from my normal brow pencil, but I gave this one a try. I wasn't too sure of this one. It did it's job. Although I think the color was a little off for me. I didn't noticed any smudging. It was a little soft but it was okay.
Brow pencil retails for around $1.99

Volumizing mascara
(Black)

This mascara does what it says it does. It added volume to my lashes for such.
It wasn't flaky, and didn't smudge. My lashes weren't crunch and that's a plus! Overall I liked this mascara.
It retails for around $4.99

All in all I liked the products in this collection and I really think the palette was the star. For someone on a budget I feel you could get some really amazing looks with it.
Let me know hoe you feel if you own or are about to own any of these products!

NYC BB creme love

Today I have some products from NYC~ New York Color. They released 3 products, a BB cream, and BB Bronzer and a BB powder.
I tried these for awhile to get a good feel for them.
The BB Creme was nice. It's a very sheer coverage. It seemed to stay for a good amount of time.
Paired with the BB Powder it stayed more matte then on its own.
The powder I received was a little darker on me so I used it sparingly.
I think the BB Powder alone was good as well. It's not as finely milled as what I am used to. But I think it will work! :)
I had a tricky time with BB Bronzer. Not that it isn't a good product, I just have a harder time with creme bronzer than any normal person. The color was good tho with this bronzer.
These all retail around $4 wherever NYC products are sold.

These are pretty good for their price point. If your on a budget I think you will find they'll work pretty well!
Let me know your thoughts.

Black and Orange Halloween

Today I have a handful of fun little things from Sally Hansen, Rimmel and NYC.  Get ready for lots of black and orange. I have polish and even some mascara that I tried out.

Starting off with the polish, I have 2 from Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel line. These retail for around $7 depending on your area. They are sold wherever you find Sally Hansen products. The great thing about these polishes are the intense high shine. I love these when I am on the go and need a very clean looking manicure. I have 2 coats of polish on in the photos below. The application was stellar and the cover is amazing!

I had fun wearing my nails like this for pre-Halloween!

I also have a great black polish from the brand NYC. These retail for  around $2. I find most of my NYC at Walmart. I have 2 coats of this polish on in the photo below.
Great application and the coverage was good.

Black Lace
A black cream polish

I also tried some mascara, from Rimmel and a eyeshadow crayon from NYC.
These were lots of fun to play with.

Rimmel Lift Me Up mascara

Rimmel Lift Me Up mascara

This is 2 coats of Rimmel Lift Me Up mascara in intense black.
I really really really like this mascara. The lift was amazing. No clumps, no flaking, no smearing, and no crunchy lashes. I think the volume was good too. I does smell like cucumber. I'm not a huge fan of cucumber but it doesn't stick around at all. AND it's better than what most mascaras smell like. This mascara has a permanent spot in my makeup desk. This retails for around $8.50

NYC  New York At Night
I used this little chubby eyeshadow stick in the outer v, and blended like I have never blended before lol!,  of my eye today. I would say the wear is great. These shadowsticks work great as a base with any powder eyeshadow! Retails for around $3

Well guys let me know what you think and what new stuff you have picked up!!
